Instagram stories disappear after about 24 hours, and there is no built-in save for someone else’s story. This Instagram story downloader is for currently live public story links — paste while the ring is still active, not after the slide vanishes.

A regular story is temporary; a highlight is a story slide the account pinned to the profile and keeps available longer. Both can work here when the URL is public and still reachable (instagram.com/stories/... or .../stories/highlights/...). Feed posts, Reels, and profile pictures belong on other Instappa tools. Private accounts and close-friends-only stories never resolve. बिना लॉगिन, app, or watermark is required for supported public links.

What does not work

Expired, private, or close-friends stories are not supported — and expired slides cannot be recovered after Instagram removes them. How long do Instagram stories last?
