Why this insta DP downloader is separate

This Instagram profile picture downloader resolves the account avatar from a public profile URL or @username. It is not the image tool: a /p/ or /reel/ link is a feed post, not a display picture.

DP (display picture) is the circular profile photo — also called a PFP or insta DP. Instagram only shows it tiny in the app; Instappa requests the full-size source image when that public profile exposes one. Some public accounts still return only a smaller preview — that is an Instagram limitation, not a missing feature. Private profiles cannot be opened without a login, which this page does not use.

What does not work

Private profiles are not supported — there is no login bypass. Feed post URLs (/p/, /reel/) and Stories links are the wrong input; use Image, Video, Reels, or Stories instead. Some public accounts only expose a small avatar preview — Instappa cannot invent a larger file when Instagram withholds it. If a link fails, confirm the account is public while logged out, then paste the profile URL (not a grid post).

DP as JPG — avatar only, not a feed download

Successful downloads are standard JPG avatars. You are not saving a carousel slide or Reel still — only the profile’s display picture.

When Instagram exposes a full-size display picture for that public profile, Instappa surfaces it. Otherwise you may get a smaller public preview. بدون علامة مائية is added either way.

What URL do I paste for a profile picture?

Use a public profile URL (instagram.com/username) or the @username itself — not a /p/ or /reel/ post link. Post URLs belong on the image or video tools; this page resolves the account’s display picture only.

How is a DP different from a feed photo?

A DP (display picture / profile photo) is the circular avatar on the profile. A feed photo is a post in the grid. This tool downloads the avatar, not grid posts — use the image downloader for those.

Yes. DP means display picture — the same as a profile photo or PFP. Enter a public username or profile URL to view and save that avatar when Instagram exposes it.

Can I download private account display pictures?
